Lauris Nobilis

This 2007 filly is ready to be started towards the type of performance career her pedigree and conformation indicate. She could just as easily be a valuable member of the broodmare band.

Her sire was a stakes-winning racehorse in Germany before being imported to North America, and he carries some European Thoroughbred bloodlines seldom seen on this side of the ocean. His grandsire contributed to the eventer American Patrol as well as the jumpers Free Easy and Mister Law among others. His broodmare sire is in the ancestry of the jumper Bellissimo.

Her dam combines the herd sire and foundation mare of D & R Ranching in Donner Bube (by Donnerhall) and Ella III (by Calvados) – both noted for their hard working, athletic offspring and grand offspring. Notable Donnerhall descendants with a high percentage of Thoroughbred blood include Clever & Smart (eventer), Donnergrande (dressage), Dr. Doolittle (dressage), Don Pricipe (dressage), etc.

She has the conformation to do very well over fences in the right hands and with the right training program.

Lauris Nobilis – This 3-year-old mare has lots of potential.  She loves people and attention and has lots of energy.  Lauris is easy to catch, lead, tie, groom and stands well for the farrier.  I can tack her up easily and she is learning to lunge and progressing very quickly.
