His Hanoverian sire, Longchamp, was second in his performance test (winning the dressage phase with a score of 157.52) out of 43 stallions in 1995, and he was reserve Champion at the 1995 German National Championships for young horses. As a sire he is noted primarily for dressage attributes.

His dam, Dixie Chick, is by Donner Bube and out of a Thoroughbred mare that scored an average of 7 in her Canadian Warmblood inspection.

He has the conformation to do well in equitation or as an amateur or junior jumper.
