Gilligan
(Graf
Top – Graduate)
This 2008 gelding combines some of the most
well known and consistent Hanoverian bloodlines in jumping and
dressage.
He is a full brother to Galaxy II - 2nd in
the 2008 Dressage and the Hunter Canadian Performance 4-yr-old
Futurities; Western Canadian Training level Champion; high score
FEI
4-yr-old at the Alberta Provincial Championships; and 2nd
highest seller at the 2008 CWHBA Fall Classic Sale.
Graf Top combines the bloodlines of Grannus
and Calypso II, making him related to several Olympic show
jumpers, including Special Ed and Montender. He has sired an
equal mix of dressage and jumping horses with willing attitudes
as well as several state premium mares.
Graduate’s sire, Goodwill, is not only well
known as a former Spruce Meadows stallion and sire of local
performers, he is found as the sire of the second dam of
Weltall
VA, who represented Germany at the
2004 Olympics.
Goodwill produced a number of good hunters and jumpers as well
as the Spruce Meadows inspection champion, Gracia.
Graduate is out of a mare by Watzmann, ancestor to Fortunus, a
showjumper that represented Ireland in Athens at the 2004
Olympics.
He has the
conformation to do well in several disciplines, but most
resembles the modern eventer in construction.
Trainers Perspective:
Gilligan is a young friendly gelding that
loves attention. He is very curious and loves to play.
He is smart and has lots of potential in the future.
Gilligan is easy to catch, lead, tie, groom and is good for the
farrier.
